G,day Cant turn back now in over my head!! Things are moving along with my Shovester just finished shortening the Shovel roller rockers and the Rocker Boxes. I think this is a must for push rod angles, using 10mm Scatt VW chrome moly push rods which have to be cut to length, Andrews VX cams , using 71 Timing Cover , utilising Tacho drive to run a Magneto and ignition points portal to run a second Magneto the idea is two plug heads one magneto set on retard and the other full advance. Crankshaft 4 1/2 inches which I machined from 4160 steel billets based on V twin jap design (lightened and balanced) - running a plain bearing crankpin - SBK industries from Santa Barbara tried this with great success back in the 70's - Because I started this project 30 years ago my only option here in Aussie was to have the 900 crankcase reinforced and the barrel stud pattern aligned to shovel barrels hence the 3 1/2 bore using spacer plates and S&S stroker pistons. Importantly the later oil pump is used and oil feed delivery holes to the plain bearing big end have been enlarged to feed its appetite ! - Push rod tubes are one offs longer than standard - as is the need to heli arc and re machine the push rod tube seating face in the rocker boxes - The counter shaft bearing boss area has been reinforced - tranny has a set of Andrews Gears and thanks to you guys a Door is on its way from Vulcan Eng - runing a 71 clutch Kevlar Dry or Wet , this suits as Iam runing a dry primary due to the Belt Drive , however machined new pressure plate as Iam running a Pre seventies push rod ( Right side actuation) off set 23 teeth sprocket to clear a mono shock and 160 tyre modification to the street digger style I started with back in the Seventies. S&S twin throat carb with newly fabricated 15% manifold and one off exhausts shot guns exciting at rear upper guard level. Its Madness! Iam an incurable Sporty Passionist nobody here understands!!! Voi että ostasinkin jos ois jotain järkeviä tuloja ja jokuhyvä kontakti rapakon takana jonka kautta noita painavempia juttuja sais puljattua. Näin koulaisena päivärahoilla pitää keskittyä ihan vaan ton nykysen hipistelyyn.

Mites muuten nuo männät onko shovelin S&S:n stroker männät käypäset tuolle 3 1/2 poraukselle sportissa vai olisko jotkut paremmat tiedossa?

Riippuu ihan millä iskulla koneen kasaat. Shovelissa ja Rautapäässä on saman mittaiset veivit ja sylinterit joten jos laitat stroukkikampuraa niin sitten pitäisi vielä mitata lohkon dekkikorkeus kampuran akseliin nähden jotta voisi jotain tarkempaa sanoa.
